Next Steps Booklet

Hope is a culturally diverse church made up of people who have come from diverse backgrounds and belief systems. So,whether you are new to Christianity or have been a Christian for years, the purpose of this step is to look at the foundations of what we believe and what we consider are the essential habits of an everyday follower of Jesus. God wants us to know Him and He wants to know us.

We want you to feel at home at Hope so come along and let us introduce you to our church family and share with you Hope's mission, vision and values. We believe that personal growth happens in the context of genuine relationships and we will be giving you the opportunity to get involved in a small group that best suits you; where you can make friends and have fun.

Step 3 Your Design

Every third Sunday of the month - 10am

Your design is about finding personal fulfilment by using the gifts and talents that God has given you in a way that He intended. Discover more about how God has uniquely created you by completing personality and spiritual gift profiles and look at opportunities to use your life to advance God's Kingdom.

Step 4 Making a Difference

Date to be advised at step 3

Our teams are full of incredibly gifted people who have discovered their gifts and passions  and are actively serving in them. Step 4 introduces you to the leaders within Hope, focuses and outlines team specific functions, expectations, responsibilities and opportunities to be involved, so that you can make a difference in your community through Hope.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Baptism is a commandment from God and a natural step from the decision of salvation. We read examples of this through the book of Acts – salvation followed up by baptism. Throughout the year we invite Christians who have not yet taken the plunge to be baptised and together we celebrate their new-found freedom in obedience to His commandment. Is it time for you to step out and take this next step? Once you have been baptised, you will leave very different to how you came in, as a new creation in Christ.“This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!”

2 Corinthians 5:17
